Historical Clothing  is one of the most interesting areas of my job,
restoring  antique clothing has been something I have been involved in for many years ,
the joy of returning a piece of History to the world.
learning from the piece itself, how it was made and with what type of stitching etc.
The last few years there has been much talk of the words Reproduction , Replica each of these words really do mean something  and not the same thing.
So with that said  We do make Replicas, and Reproductions ,each of these are priced according to the method  of construction.
(ex : 1863 Civil War gown ) made on a 1860's treadle sewing machine will reflect that cost .
Hand sewn will always be the highest method, it is rarely done in this day and age , as having buttons cast for a period piece
